UNDER THE LIGHT OF BREOGÁN

Astarot presents the album 'Baixo a Luz de Breogán' to celebrate its 39 years of musical journey as one of the reference bands of Galician rock. In this new album, the band wanted to pay tribute from the world of rock to authors who marked Galician language literature, such as Rosalía de Castro, Federico García Lorca, Xela Arias or Celso Emilio Ferreiro, among others.

Coinciding with the release of his ninth album, 'Baixo a Luz de Breogán', Astarot published on his YouTube channel the video clip 'Camariñas, in tribute to the Galician people known as the "O corazón da Costa da Morte", which shows the beauty of its landscapes, its customs and its people, especially those who work at sea, as well as a reference to the "Mostra Internacional do Encaixe" an event that takes the name of Camariñas to the whole world. All that merged with the particular Rock Galaico of Astarot and Celtic music, with the collaboration of Bieito Romero and Xan Cerqueiro from the Luar na Lubre group, where bagpipes, whistles and electric guitars make a perfect combination of sounds.

In their ninth album, the formation created in Cangas de Morrazo (Pontevedra) follows in the footsteps of their previous works, but fusing even more the sound of Rock with Celtic melodies. The CD 'Baixo a Luz de Breogán' contains 14 songs, some of which are own themes and other melodies created with the lyrics of prominent authors and writers who composed in the Galician language.

As a prelude to this premiere, he released the video clips 'Negro Caravel', set in Rosalía de Castro's poem that is included in his work 'Cantares Gallegos', and the video lyric 'Chove en Santiago', his version of melodic rock, which combine with traditional Galician music, from the romance that Federico García Lorca dedicated to the city of Santiago de Compostela.
